Founder Evelyn Powers started Design Powers in 1996. Her niece Emily joined in 2015. Her daughter Vanessa in 2022. Two generations of formally trained designers who happen to work exceptionally well together.

Evelyn Powers
FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Evelyn Powers founded Design Powers in 1996 and built her early career doing print design for nonprofits and local government before finding her footing in professional services. That foundation, learning how to communicate complex ideas clearly and on a budget, shapes how she works today. She now leads the agency's strategic direction with a singular focus on AEC and small manufacturing firms, the clients who need a marketing team the most and rarely have one in-house.
Evelyn oversees every engagement from discovery through launch, ensuring the strategy, messaging, and design all work together to do one thing: win work. She brings the kind of industry fluency that means her clients never have to explain what they do twice.

Emily White
WEBSITE DESIGNER & DEVELOPER
Emily blends creative strategy with technical expertise to help businesses show up professionally online through effective websites that build trust and drive conversions early in the client journey.
Her work spans website design and development, logo design, SEO/AIO content optimization, and project management—guiding projects from concept to launch. She specializes in building distinctive websites tailored to each client's goals, visual identity, and technology stack.
Known for balancing design thinking with strong organization, Emily is both a creative partner and the go-to person for getting things done.

Vanessa Powers
GRAPHIC DESIGNER & ADMIN
Vanessa combines creative skill with operational organization to support both the visual work and day-to-day rhythm of Design Powers.
As a graphic designer, Vanessa collaborates with both longstanding and new clients to deliver impactful visual solutions, ensuring clear and professional communication across logos, print collateral, and brand materials. Additionally, she oversees essential administrative functions, including invoicing, social media management, internal organization, and the monthly client website membership.
Recognized for her reliability, creative vision, and ability to coordinate multiple initiatives, Vanessa is an integral part of our creative output and operational flow.
